Cisco Learning Credits (CLCs) are a great resource to use for your training!
How many times have you found yourself scrambling at the end of the fiscal year, trying to make sure everything is squared away before the start of the next year? One thing you need to make sure of is that you’re using your CLCs throughout the year. If you let them expire, you are essentially leaving money on the table that could have been spent towards sharpening your employee’s computer skills, protecting your IT infrastructure or other IT related training (1 CLC is equivalent to $100).
Cisco offers a wide variety of courses to fit the customer’s needs in almost every IT area: Data Center, Enterprise/Networking, Security, Contact Center, Service Provider and more. When customers purchase hardware equipment or software from Cisco for their IT infrastructure, most of those purchases will include CLCs as a bonus. This provides an incentive for a company to keep on top of their employee training.
As people get busy, too often training is put on the back burner for a variety of reasons, meaning that their CLCs do not get used. Do not be part of that crowd that forgets about your CLCs and lets them expire! Cisco has just recently updated their LCMT (Learning Credit Management Tool) to make it much easier to navigate and help you with the CLC redemption process. But don’t forget that you must first designate your preferred Learning Partner in the LCMT tool before you can redeem your CLCs.
