Suggesting anything other than traditional in-classroom training to your manager may seem daunting. How do they know you really attended? Will you learn as much if you're not in a classroom? Here's 3 tips to keep in mind when you're pitching online training to your manager:

  1. It costs less. Travel, lodging & expenses really add up when you're sending one or more members of your team for training. By agreeing to online training they are saving your team and company valuable training dollars.
  2. It saves you time. The time you spend traveling to and from training can really add up. That time can be better spent learning the course material.
  3. It's secure. Training staff on proprietary company information with printed materials being handed out can be tricky. If you're training online the material can be secured with passwords, user authentication, and encryption to safeguard your intellectual property.
